Using Traditional Addresses
MLBS.NET also allows users to use traditional addresses to specify either or both the start and end locations for the driving directions service
between two locations. However, compared with Universal Addresses, traditional addresses have many problems: a) they are always long character strings
that take long time to input, especially on cellphones; b) they may contain foreign characters that are difficult to input; c) many locations do not
have addresses that limit the driving directions service to only urban areas; d) they always need to be geocoded before use that not only wastes time
and money but also makes the service unreliable due to outdated or incomplete address databases.
A good news is that this service will always display the Universal Addresses for both start and end locations in the result page. Therefore, the user
can write down the Universal Addresses and keep them as part of the addresses on his/her business cards so that he/she and other people can greatly
benefit from them.
